Casey Bayer
Hi Second Step supporters! My name is Casey and I am super excited to be running the Boston Marathon for Team TSS! I'm 25 and originally from New York but moved to Boston for school (GO BC!) and just haven't left! I love this city and every run I take that happens to put me on the race course makes me more and more excited for a hometown marathon this year.

This will be my fifth marathon overall and Boston in 2004 was my first. Yes, that was the year it was 86 degrees out. Yes, I was delirious by mile 14. I think! But I finished and was officially bit by one hefty running bug. Running and working out is my therapy, religion, and a huge part of my everyday life. It keeps me fresh and calm and I think it makes me a better person overall. Just ask anyone who has to interact with me when I've had a day or two off. Antsy doesn't even begin to describe. In addition to running, I love skiing, golf, and swimming. I hope to one day dabble in ultrarunning and triathlons.
I put qualifying for Boston on my five year plan, but The Second Step is such a great cause to run for! I feel so privileged to be apart of their team, raising money to help women as they take back their lives from domestic violence. I can't wait to see many of you out there on race day, and I promise I'll stave off the delirium until Mile 23 this time around so I remember it! If you're brave, you can follow my training and progress at a blog I set up for this experience:

Kevin Curley
Kevin is an online marketing manager at The Christian Science Monitor in Boston, Massachusetts. Kevin will be running his first Boston Marathon in April, but this is his second time running a marathon – the first was in November 2008 in Sacramento, California. |
When Kevin is not running, or working at the Monitor, he also works part-time at REI at Landmark Center. And when that’s not keeping him busy, he frequently visits his family in Connecticut and his fiance in Philadelphia.
“My goal for this year’s Boston Marathon is to have fun. The Second Step is a great organization with a great mission, I’m honored to be running on their behalf.”

Karen Crupi
Boston 2010 will be my second Boston and my fifth marathon overall. I've run the NYC marathon three times. |
I am originally from New York City and work for Fidelity, so I split my time between Boston and New York City--which gives me an opportunity to run marathons for charity in two great cities.
Its an honor to run for TSS and I am looking forward to Heartbreak Hill!

Hello TSS Supporters,
I have returned to running after a ten-year hiatus and am thrilled to run, fundraise, and raise awareness for The Second Step. This is my first marathon in more than ten years and my only goal is the run the entire course. I currently work for RBS Citizens, N.A., in their Global Restructuring Group and reside in Needham, MA, with my beautiful wife Shannon and two lovely and active children, Claudia (7) and Brendan (5).
|
Originally from upstate New York, I have been running off and on for most of my life. My only marathon experience is in Philadelphia where i ran in 1999 and 2000. Besides parenting, I am active on my road bike as well as enjoy playing basketball and backyard baseball.
I want to thank all my supporters to date and look forward to having a great marathon experience!
