Celebrating Success 2002

Marjorie Clapprood and Susan Wornick

On May 8, 2002, at the Newton Marriott, Celebrating Success guest hosts Marjorie Clapprood and Susan Wornick led 300 guests in celebrating the success of the eight women who graduated from The Second Step program during the previous year. Graduates honored were:
Jacquelyn
Jackqueline
Katia
Maria
Robin
Tomesia
Yanira
Wanda

Each graduate received a special gift, and Jaki brought many of us to tears as she recounted her story of fleeing an abusive husband so her son could grow up in a non-violent household. You can read the text of her presentation here. The $58,000 proceeds from this event will be used for programming activities at The Second Step.
